Arthur Sarradin, known for his reporting from the Near East for multiple media outlets, received the Albert‑Londres book prize on 27 October.

The award recognised his work ‘Le Nom des ombres’, a narrative about escaping the Syrian concentration‑camp system.

The book was released by the French publisher Le Seuil earlier this year.

This marks the tenth edition of the Albert‑Londres prize for literature, traditionally awarded to distinguished works of non‑fiction.
