Mirjam Zadoff, director of the Munich Documentation Center for the History of National Socialism and a member of the Peace Prize’s Board of Trustees, has been confirmed as the speaker for the 2026 Peace Prize of the German Book Trade.

The award ceremony will take place on 11 October at the Church of St Paul in Frankfurt, where Zadoff will honour the laureate, international lawyer Philippe Sands.

Organisers announced that every speech delivered at the event will be published in a dedicated volume, preserving the remarks for future reference.

The Peace Prize, administered by the German Book Trade Association, recognises contributions to peace and human rights, and this year’s focus centres on Sands’ work in international law.
