The Copyright Committee convened in Frankfurt to bring together IPA members and partner organisations for a review of the association’s copyright work and to share market‑specific developments. Artificial intelligence emerged as the dominant theme, with participants discussing a range of AI‑related initiatives worldwide.
Attendees also received briefings on recent progress at the World Intellectual Property Organization, including plans for the next meeting of its Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR). The session highlighted WIPO’s ongoing efforts to address copyright issues in the digital age.
The Copyright Policy Working Group used the meeting to follow up on earlier discussions and to explore ways to sustain IPA’s support for its members. The group emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and policy development in response to evolving copyright challenges.
