At Least 24 French Bookstores Hit by Urban Violence on Oct. 17‑18
At least 24 bookshops across France suffered vandalism, sales losses and staff distress during the urban violence of 17 and 18 October, according to early counts by the Syndicat de la librairie française and Paris Librairies.
