Paris court extends Gibert group’s observation period to 7 December

The Paris Tribunal des activités économiques has postponed the hearing on Gibert's judicial restructuring, extending the observation phase by six weeks at the request of its administrators.

The Tribunal des activités économiques (TAE) in Paris ruled on Monday, 26 October, to move the hearing on the judicial restructuring of the Gibert group to 7 December.

The decision, made at the request of the group’s judicial administrators, lengthens the observation period by six weeks.

Gibert’s management sees the additional time as an opportunity to finalise its restructuring plan.

However, employees remain skeptical that the extension will be sufficient to stabilise the company’s precarious situation.
