The Forum Audio FIL, organised by the FIL in partnership with Editorial Audiolibre, will run on 1 and 2 December 2026. The event focuses on the evolution of the audio industry and opportunities for Spanish‑language content in international markets.
Seventeen experts from Mexico, Chile, the United States, Argentina, Spain and France will share views on catalog expansion, format diversification, audience development and the challenges of integrating artificial intelligence into sound‑content creation and production.
Programmes include two discussion panels, four keynote speeches and a specialised masterclass. Speakers will represent publishers, digital platforms, distributors, producers, consultants and independent projects, aiming to examine market transformations and commercial and creative possibilities.
Key topics are the growth of Spanish‑language content and strategies to increase its presence abroad, adaptation of stories to different audio formats, new audience identification and the potential of audio to broaden business opportunities within the publishing sector. The impact of AI on audiobook and other sound‑content production will also be examined, with questions about technology applications and creative limits.
Participants include representatives from Spotify, Storytel, Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial, Feltrinelli Editores, Hachette Book Group, Blackie Books, Audiobuk, De Marque, Edison Research, Dosdoce.com, Storylab and Radio Universidad de Guadalajara, among others.
The masterclass “La experiencia de crear contenidos sonoros” will feature Santiago Ramírez of Audiobuk, Gabriela Bautista of Radio Universidad de Guadalajara and Spanish writer Javier Peñá, who will discuss podcast creation and adaptation of literature to sound.
