Les Éditions Sociales and La Dispute, both approaching their 100th year, have announced a comprehensive overhaul of their operations. The two publishing houses will launch a new editorial team, switch to a different distributor, and merge their legal structures into a single entity.
The reorganisation is part of a broader strategy to modernise the companies and to focus on the book programme of Jean‑Luc Mélenchon, whose political and literary work has long been a cornerstone of the publishers’ catalogues.
By aligning their resources and streamlining distribution, the publishers aim to strengthen their market position and to better serve readers who have supported them for a century. The merger will also enable more efficient management of rights and production, positioning the new entity for future growth.
