Joseph von Westphalen, a veteran columnist who wrote under the pseudonym “Der Flaneur,” passed away on 29 October in Munich.
He was 81 years old at the time of his death.
Von Westphalen was also a published author, contributing several books to the German literary scene.
His death was reported by the German business newspaper Börsenblatt on 4 November 2026.
