Anja Urbschat has announced that she will end her tenure as Regional Director of the Börsenverein’s Düsseldorf office on 31 October 2026. The decision comes as she plans to devote her full attention to her own bookshop, localbook.shop.
Urbschat’s departure marks the end of her role within the Börsenverein, a prominent German book trade association. She has been a key figure in the Düsseldorf branch, overseeing regional activities and fostering relationships within the book industry.
In a statement, Urbschat said she will concentrate on expanding and enhancing localbook.shop, her independent bookshop that offers a curated selection of titles and a community space for readers.
