Seven sales representatives now focus exclusively on the children’s and youth, manga and comic segment, strengthening the publisher’s strategic position with the stationary book trade.
The team is led by sales director Christina Wätjen, who heads the newly created external sales unit.
Veteran staff Henning Horl, Heike Kramer, Janine Mostertz and Gerti Rupp are joined by newcomers Magdalena Möller, Ninoschka Huck and Michelle Kasel.
Heike Kramer, speaking for the group, highlighted her 25‑year experience with children’s books and welcomed the chance to concentrate fully on the segment.
Penguin Random House says the move also supports its broader program and rights work, aiming to boost reading among young audiences amid digitalisation and declining literacy rates.
