The new podcast, produced by Afterview Studio, will be distributed on YouTube, Spotify and other audio‑video platforms, and will feature a live‑recorded episode each month with authors, essayists and experts who have recently published a book.

Each episode will also be accompanied by a small‑scale physical gathering, limited to about twenty participants, to foster direct dialogue between speakers and audiences. The inaugural event is scheduled for 21 October at the historic Pergamo bookshop in Madrid, where González will interview Alberto Barreiro, director of Creative Transformation at The Cocktail (WPP Enterprise Solutions) and author of the experimental essay Abrazar el monstruo (La Fábrica, 2026).

González explains that the podcast aims to restore the book’s role as a durable, informative artifact in an environment where digital news disappears from a reader’s screen in roughly 27 seconds. He argues that the book should be seen not only as a vehicle for learning but also as a lasting source of current insight.

The format blends digital distribution with a physical “high‑touch” experience, echoing John Naisbitt’s “high tech versus high touch” thesis. González says the project seeks to counterbalance the dominance of music and film in agenda‑setting by positioning literature—especially recent non‑fiction releases—as a central cultural touchstone.

Listeners can register for the first live episode via a LinkedIn event link or receive a personal invitation to the Luma platform. Afterview Studio describes the initiative as a cultural‑experience venture designed for exclusive audiences, aiming to connect generations of creators and thinkers through the shared focus on books.
