Editions de l’Antilope withdraws two authors from Prix Méditerranée 2027 pre‑selection over RN municipal ties

The French independent publisher Editions de l'Antilope has asked that Signora Sarfatti and Serge Airoldi be removed from the 2027 Prix Méditerranée shortlist because of their association with Perpignan’s RN‑led city council.

Editions de l’Antilope formally requested the exclusion of Signora Sarfatti and Serge Airoldi from the pre‑selection list for the 2027 Prix Méditerranée.

The publisher cited the authors’ connection to the municipal administration of Perpignan, which is governed by the Rassemblement National, as the reason for the appeal.

The request was made public on 15 October 2026, shortly after the shortlist was announced.

Organisers of the Prix Méditerranée have not yet commented on whether the removal will be enacted.
