The annual Quai des Bulles festival convened in the historic port city of Saint‑Malo from 9 to 11 October for its 45th edition. Organisers gathered publishers, authors, illustrators and industry professionals to celebrate contemporary graphic storytelling, continuing a tradition that began more than four decades ago.

In the ceremony that concluded the three‑day event, the Grand Prix was awarded to the work titled “Tebo”. The top honour recognises outstanding artistic and narrative achievement within the festival’s competitive programme, and the selection was made by a jury of seasoned creators and critics.

Alongside the Grand Prix, four additional laureates received awards in separate categories, reflecting the festival’s commitment to recognising excellence across a range of formats and themes. While the specific categories were not detailed in the release, the distinction underscores the diversity of talent showcased at the gathering.

The announcement reinforces Quai des Bulles’ reputation as a key platform for francophone and international comic‑book creators. Organisers indicated that the festival will continue to expand its programme in future editions, maintaining its role as a barometer for emerging trends in the graphic arts sector.
